1．除了某些特殊情况, 专有名词前一般不加冠词,
Mr. Brown, Vice—Director Liu, Germany, Paris, Southeast Asia, Ancient Greece, New England, July, Monday, English
2．下列情况下专有名词前要加定冠词, 如：
1) 河流、海洋的名称：
the Yellow River 黄河
the Yangtze River 长江
the East China Sea 东海
the Pacific Ocean 太平洋
the Arctic 北冰洋
2) 山脉群岛, 海湾海峡的名称：
the Alps 阿尔卑斯山
The Rocky Mountains 洛矶山脉
the Philippines 菲律宾群岛
the Taiwan Straits 台湾海峡
the Persian Gulf 波斯
但单山独岛名称前不加冠词：
Mount Emei 峨嵋山
Christian Island圣诞岛
3) 某些国名、组织机构等名称：
the People's Republic of China 中华民共和国
the United Kingdom 联合王国
the United Nations 联合国
the Ministry of Education 教育部
the State Council 国务院,
the State Department 美国国务院,
